SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to a new application of bovine lactoferrin for preparing a medicinal agent for bacteria growth inhibition. There is declared the application of bovine lactoferrin recovered from whole milk with low somatic cell count in amount effective for inhibiting the growth of bacterial pathogens expressing the type III secretory system in a person, for preparing a milk formula, and said bacterial pathogen expressing the type III secretory system is chosen from the group including Salmonella, Shigella, Yersinia, Pseudomonas and Escherichia.
EFFECT: invention inhibits the growth of bacterial pathogens expressing the type III secretory system.
