FIELD: aircraft engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spacecraft control. Proposed system comprises optical system with photo receivers of roll and pitch channels and device designed to determine angles of spacecraft axis departure from local vertical in said channels. Systems exploits photo receivers operating in visible and IR wavelengths. Photo receiver signals are used to determine speed of displacement of underlaying surface image for pair of points in pitch channels and pairs of points in roll channel. Relationships between said speeds are calculated to determine angles of spacecraft departure from local vertical in appropriate channels.

EFFECT: automatic constructing of local vertical on whatever orbit section.
