FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: production process selected parametre values are fixed and for each one of them two groups of quality factors are determined in at least one electrode selection. The first group features electrode manufacturing factors, and the second group features technological parametres of electrodes and includes separately determined electrode melting parametres and electrode coating melting parametres. The electrode manufacturing factors are evaluated by measuring and calculating rod and coated electrode diametre, coating mass factor, apparent coating density and coating inhomogenuity degree in the selection. Technological parametres of electrodes are determined through electrodes melting with evaluation of electrode melting parametres and electrode coating melting parametres. Those parametres are selected that have allowable value range thus identifying technological parametres providing sustained quality of manufactured electrodes.
EFFECT: increase in reliability of quality evaluation, possibility to identify errors in electrode manufacturing process in its various phases.
