FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and may be used for manual arc welding of whatever steels, including armor steels, austenitic steels, etc. Electrode comprises coated chromium-nickel steel electrode. Coat comprises the following components in wt %: dolomite - 5-20, blue john - 3-15, rutile - 10-25, titanium dioxide - 5-20, feldspar - 2-10, quartz sand - 2-10, periclase - 1-8, muscovite mica - 1-5, haematite - 1-5, carbon - 0,1-0.3, chromium oxide - 1-4, metallic chromium - 6-20, ferrosilicon - 2-8, manganese - 1-8, molybdenum - 1-8, iron powder - 3-10, plasticiser - 0,5-3,0. Plasticiser represents potash and/or alginate gel. Said rod may be made from "Св-06Х24Н6ТАМФ" wire.
EFFECT: weld seam with no cracks thanks to controlled ferrite phase (10% to 40%).
