SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine environmental safety. The frequency range of 30 kHz…300 GHz is divided into M=7 sub-ranges, each of which is divided into K=24 frequency regions. The level of the discrete component of the equivalent background is determined for each k-th region. The following is determined: coefficient of safety of the electromagnetic background KBMN for the 30 kHz...300 GHz range; coefficient of safety of the electromagnetic background for electromagnetic radiation sources at industrial frequency of 50 Hz KB50; coefficient of safety of the electromagnetic background for electromagnetic radiation sources in the 5 Hz…30 kHz range KBV; coefficients of safety of the electromagnetic background for electromagnetic radiation sources "ЭВМ" KBENH and KBEVH; coefficient of safety of the electromagnetic background for overall noise electromagnetic radiation source in the 30 kHz…300 GHz range KBS. The safety criterion KB of the background on electromagnetic radiation sources is determined using the formula KB=KBMN+KB50+KBV+KBENH+KBEVH+KBS≤1.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and reliability of determining background safety from electromagnetic radiation sources by taking into account all of its components in the 5 Hz…300 GHz frequency range.
