SUBSTANCE: method for visual determination of the polarisation form of optical radiation involves passing the analysed divergent beam of radiation through a crystalline plate of any optical activity with the entrance plane perpendicular to the optical axis and an analyser and obtaining a defined conoscopic pattern when the analyser is turned on the screen, from the type of which the polarisation form of the analysed radiation is determined.
