FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in static thermostatting and controlling NHSB temperature, start charging by rated current and subsequent recharging by low current. Charging by rated current is terminated after increase in NHSB temperature by more than 2-5°C as compared to start charge with tolerance for permissible NHSB temperature. Note here that between charging by rated current and recharging by low current there is a pause to withdraw heat from NHSB accumulated during charging by rated current. Besides pause duration is limited by decreasing storage battery temperature to plus 2-5°C from that in prestart charge, or is set equal to (1-2) hours.
EFFECT: expanded performances.
