TWO-CHANNEL SHF SWITCH Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC H01P1/15

Abstract RU 2401488 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in SHF incorporating three equal wave impedance transmission lines (TL), one TL receives the SHF signal, the other two lines - the first and the second- are SHF signal output lines. Each of two output TLs contains at least four electronic switches in the form of field transistors (FT) with Schottky barrier junction, and source of the first FT with Schottky barrier junction is connected with input TL, its drain is connected with TL at the first output. Drain of the second FT with Schottky barrier junction is connected via TL segment which length is equal to eigth of wave-length and wave impedance is equal to that of TL with TL at input. Source of this FT is grounded and gates of FT with Schottky barrier junction are connected with one source of constant control voltage. The switch is provided with two additional TL segments which lengths are equal to eigth of wave-length in TL and wave impedances are equal to wave impedance of TL at switch input. Drain of the third FT with Schottky barrier junction is connected with one of the ends of the first additional TL segment and the other end of this FT is connected with TL at the first output. Drain of the fourth FT with Schottky barrier junction is connected with TL at the second output and via the second additional TL segment - with the drain of the second FT with Schottky barrier junction; at the same time, sources of the third and the fourth FT with Schottky barrier junction are grounded.

EFFECT: operating bandwidth expansion, lowering SHF losses and increase in attenuation of SHF signal.
