FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: oil retaining grooves (4) made on working surfaces (3) of teeth (1) of gear have non-uniform depth along lengthwise of teeth. This depth is minimal on the line of pole of engagement (5) and increases into both sides from it in direct proportion to increment of intensity of working surfaces (3) wear.
