FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: discharger contains an insulating housing (1) and a dielectric (6) represented by a flat ring positioned between the surfaces of the first and the second electrodes, each represented by a flat graphite ring, two electric outputs each represented by a conductive flat ring and a connective plate having one of its ends fixed within the area of the outer surface of the conductive flat ring circumference with its other end projecting outside through the housing side surface, and one or two safety valves mounted accordingly on one or on the both ends of the cylindrical housing that, in case of arc discharge occurrence, perform discharge of electric erosion products from the space between the electrodes outside the housing (1) and prevent ingress of dust and moisture particles inside the housing (1).
EFFECT: improvement of the discharge operational stability and extension of its service life under powerful over-voltage conditions.
