FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to railway train radio communications and specifically to method and system of communications for railway train to be used in the train with distributed power and containing lead locomotive and one or more remote locomotives. Communication method includes the following stages: outgoing message is transmitted from lead locomotive; for each remote locomotive, outgoing message is received from lead locomotive or from other remote locomotive and transmitted until this outgoing message is not received by the last remote locomotive; in the last remote locomotive, incoming message in reply to outgoing message is transmitted; and for each remote locomotive excluding the last remote locomotive, incoming message from other remote locomotive is received, local status message is added and modified incoming message is transmitted until this message is received by lead locomotive. Communication system contains: communication channel, radio in lead consist, radio in each of the locomotives of forward motion and reverse motion, comparator and processor.

EFFECT: increase in reliability of railway train radio communication system.
