FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in the method, a heater which is in form of a flexible membrane which can assume the shape of the surface of a solid body under clamping force and additionally functions as a temperature sensor is pressed to the surface of a solid body by a clamping element so that the shape of the heater corresponds to the shape and irregularities of the surface of the solid body. Temperature of the heater on its entire surface is recorded during and after heating. Thermal conductivity and temperature diffusivity of the solid body is determined by processing temperature measurement results of the heater in the time interval from the beginning of heating the solid body to the onset of thermal convection of the surrounding medium, and after heating of the solid body is stopped.
EFFECT: more accurate determination of thermal-physical properties of non-uniform solid bodies.
