FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to obtaining granular NaX zeolite. The method involves mixing kaolin and silicon dioxide until achieving molar ratio SiO2:Al2O3=(2,4-3,2):1 and adding powdered NaX zeolite to the mixture until achieving the following content of initial components in the mixture, wt %: powdered NaX zeolite 50-70, silicon dioxide (white soot) 2-5, kaolin - the rest, moistening the mixture until obtaining a homogeneous mass, moulding granules, thermal activation and hydrothermal crystallisation in a sodium silicate solution from a reaction mixture of the following composition: (2.0-2.6)Na2O·Al2O3·(3.0-3.5)SiO2·(60-80)H2O, washing and drying the granules.

EFFECT: obtained NaX zeolite which does not contain binder material has high phase purity, dynamic adsorption capacity and mechanical strength, the adsorbent is efficient in natural gas drying and desulphuration processes.
