FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: zeolite can be used in chemical and petroleum-chemical industry for separation of mixtures of hydrocarbons at molecular level and as active component-half-product in production of catalysts, including catalysts of alkylation and transalkylation of aromatic hydrocarbons. Method includes mixing kaolin with powder-like zeolite NaY, white soot and lignosulphonate, moistening and mixing mixture until homogeneous mass is obtained, formation of granules, thermal activation, hydrothermal crystallisation in sodium silicate solution, washing and drying of granules. Method is realised with the following content of raw material components in mixture, wt %: powder-like zeolite NaY 55-65, white soot 5-7, lignosulphonate 1.0-1.5, kaolin - the remaining part.
EFFECT: zeolite NaY granulated without binding agent possesses developed mesoporous structure, and it has high indices of phase purity, degree of crystallinity, dynamic adsorption capacity and mechanical strength.
