FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates synthesis of zeolites. The method involves mixing kaolin with high-modulus powdered zeolite NaY and polyvinyl alcohol in the following ratio: zeolite NaY with modulus 5.5-7.0 - 55-75 wt %, polyvinyl alcohol 2-3 wt %, kaolin - the balance. The mixture is moistened, granules are formed and thermal activation and hydrothermal crystallisation are carried out in sodium silicate solution from reaction mixtures having the following composition: (2.6-3.4)Na2O·Al2O3·(10-12)SiO2·(180-220)H2O.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain faujasite granules with modulus 5,5-7,0 with high degree of crystallinity, having high dynamic activity and mechanical strength.
