SUBSTANCE: pharmaceutical composition with moderated release for oral administration includes granules of imatinib produced from melt or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt and release moderator. Release moderator is polymer with vitrification temperature below melt temperature of imatinib mesylate and/or non-polymer release moderator, which melts at lower temperature compared to melt temperature of imatinib or applied salt of imatinib. The present invention also proposes a preferable method for production of such pharmaceutical compositions with moderated release through application of extruder.
EFFECT: compositions of imatinib are characterised with moderated release and maintain therapeutical level in plasma for a long period of time.
