FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: cellulose material is sulphated in 1,4-dioxane at 20-40°C for 3-4 hours. Cellulose sulphate is extracted by diluting the reaction mass with a three-fold volume of a 50% water-ethanol solution containing 3% sodium hydroxide. The precipitate is filtered, washed with 96% ethanol and dried in a vacuum.
EFFECT: obtained cellulose sulphate is used as a blood anticoagulant, sorbent of toxic metals, immunomodulator and antiviral preparation.
