FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to neurosurgery, pediatric surgery and may be used in pre-operation forecasting of surgical treatment strategy for myelocele in children. Method includes multispiral computerised tomography scanning and 3D reformation of damage spine segments. Following the results of reformation, width of bone window - A, formed by dysraphic spinal arches, and width of spinal canal - B, in the area of the highest bifidity, are measure. Coefficient of bifidity is calculated as C=A\B. Based on calculation results, tactics for operational treatment of myelocele in children is forecasted. If C≤0.45, hernial orifice plasty by Bayer is predicted. If C=(0.45-0.65), hernial orifice plasty with local tissues is predicted. If C=(0.65-1.00), plasty of hernial orifice is predicted with application of preserved pachymeninx or synthetic materials.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of surgical treatment of myelocele in children due to reduced frequency of post-operational complications.
