METHOD AND DEVICE FOR HYDRO-VACUUM MASSAGE CARRYING OUT Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61H9/00 A61H33/02

Abstract RU 2405525 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions belongs to medicine, notably to balneotherapeutics. Hydro-vacuum massage method includes placement of at least one part of person's body in water-filled bathtub. Submerged part of body is treated with vacuum head. Vacuum head alternatively sucks skin in and let it out while submerged head moves over person's body. Water flow, being pumped in cyclone chamber of vacuum head, whirls there thus generating vacuum. Tightly pressed vacuum head is moved continuously over the skin. Vacuum head for hydro-vacuum massage has body which includes cyclone chamber with symmetry axis, input channel with laterally displaced symmetry axis in reference to cyclone chamber symmetry axis, and axially symmetric output channel placed coaxially with cyclone chamber and equipped with dilated toroidal port on the end surface. Cyclone chamber has two coaxial cavities situated one above another: upper axially symmetric cavity and lower cavity, shaped like a frustum of a cone. Cyclone chamber's input channel is conoidal; it is equipped with output orifice formed by circular guideway; also it has slotted opening for water injection into tapered cavity of cyclone chamber. Input and output orifices' areas of input channel are equal. Position of output's slotted opening enables tangential hit of effluent jet at cyclone chamber's conical surface. Input channel is situated in upper part of cyclone chamber's conical cavity; output channel is formed by lower part of frustum of a cone which slips into dilated toroidal port of the body's end surface. Group of inventions also includes device for carrying out hydro-vacuum massage with skin surface clearing effect and organism sanitation. Device includes water-filled bathtub, vacuum head connected to water pump's output by flexible hose, while pump's input is connected to bathtub through the filter.

EFFECT: method and device raise impact level due to generation of stable and deep vacuum which provides maximally tight contact of the vacuum head to patient's body surface being massaged and provides radical superficial cleaning of the skin with rejuvenation effect due to intensification of metabolic and regenerative processes.
