FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: there is performed steel making, continuous pouring, hot rolling, single or double cold rolling, decarburising annealing, degreasing, application of protection coating, high-temperature annealing, application of insulating coating, straightening annealing and electromagnetic impact on the surface of moved bar with scanning laser beam of non-circular section drawn along the scanning direction. At that, electromagnetic action is performed under controlled tension of the bar, which creates inner stress in metal of 5-80 N/mm2, and as electromagnetic action there used is continuous multi-mode laser radiation at ratio of radiation power to scanning speed P/V of 0.015-0.050 J/mm; at that, in non-circular beam the ratio of its length to width in rolling direction is 0.005-0.075; and bar tension value at Ml laser processing is determined by the following formula: F=kBd7(P/v)1/2, where F - value of externally applied force (kN), B and d - width and thickness of bar respectively (mm), k - proportionality coefficient equal to 0.002-0.010 depending on chemical composition and mechanical properties of the treated steel.
EFFECT: reducing magnetic losses at maintaining high level of magnetic induction.
