FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device or method of processing or forming composite materials with thermoplastic or thermosetting matrix. Proposed device comprises two mould cases that move relative to each other and are made from electrically conducting material. Each case comprises moulding zone to come in contact with processed material. There are inductors to generate magnetic fields to envelope mould cases. Note here that sides of on of the cases arranged opposite said inductors, except for moulding zones, are coated by screening layer of nonmagnetic material to inhibit penetration of magnetic field in mould case. Mould cases are electrically isolated in moulding phase to limit working clearance wherein magnetic field circulates to induce currents on moulding zone surface of each mould case, thus, localising heating on interface "moulding zone/moulded material".
EFFECT: reduced power consumption and higher efficiency due to shorter heating and cooling.
