FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the tobacco industry, namely to aerosol generating systems. An aerosol generating system contains an aerosol generating device. The aerosol generating device has a case and a heating chamber limiting a heating zone, while the heating chamber has dimensions providing the possibility of accommodating at least part of aerosol forming substrate inside the heating zone. The aerosol generating device contains an induction element located around the heating zone or adjacent to it. The aerosol generating device, a power supply unit, and a controller are connected to the induction element and are made with the possibility of supplying alternating electric current to the induction element for generating an alternating magnetic field inside the heating zone. The induction element can be controllable for subsequently providing the first alternating magnetic field with the first frequency during the first period of time, and then the second alternating magnetic field with the second frequency during the second period of time.
EFFECT: optimization of heating of an aerosol generating product.
