FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to measurement equipment and can be used for automatic defining of vehicle brake system good condition. The method consists in defining the moment of brake pedal application, the indication of brake system condition is performed only at brake pedal application. Calibrated values of the overloads for n-initial conditions are introduced in the method. The indication of magnitude current values and overload direction is defined and performed. Initial overload conditions are defined, overload current values are compared to calibrated values at present initial conditions. The indication is performed at exceeding of current overload level of specified calibrated values. Overload preventive values are input for n-initial conditions with level equal to 0.9 of calibrated value, one preventive value is selected according to the initial condition of overload appearance. Overload current value is compared to preventative value for present initial condition and indication is performed at less values of current overload level in relation to preventative value. The device consists of contact sensor (1), calculating machine (2), information processing unit (3), overload direction indicator (4), overload value indicator (5), overload level exceeding indicator (6), warning indication indicator (7) and deceleration sensor (36).

EFFECT: increase of received information authenticity by indication of vehicle brake system condition only at brake pedal application.
