FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: inorganic binder is mixed with silica-containing material and water in the presence of a hydrofluoric acid salt. The inorganic binder used is hydroxide of an alkali metal or ammonia or silicate binder. The silica-containing material is selected from a group comprising quartz sand, quartz flour, clay and microsilica. The size of particles of the silica-containing material is between 0.2 and 20.0 mm. Alternatively, the silica-containing material is preferably ground to particle size between 40 A and 60 mcm. Moisture content of the quartz sand or flour must not be more than 4%,and moisture content of the clay must not be more than 10%. Mixing is done in a high-speed mixer at a rate of at least 1500 rpm, and oscillation frequency of the mixed particles of 2000-45000 Hz for a certain period of time, followed by cooling. The obtained product has high silica modulus (M=15-30). The obtained binder has density of 1.3-2.4 g/cm3.
EFFECT: binder is used to produce materials with high water resistance, acid resistance, weather resistance and good strength properties.
