FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: prior to heart operation carried out under artificial blood circulation, level of medium molecules (MML) is detected in serum or plasma of blood in units of optical density. Then index of post-operational period course forecasting (FI) is calculated using formula: FI=MML/0.24. If FI equals or exceeds 1.6, adverse course of post-operational period is forecasted. If FI is below 1.6, positive course of post-operational period is forecasted.
EFFECT: method application provides for objective forecasting of post-operational period course.
