FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, more specifically, to ophthalmology, and is intended to prevent secondary neovascular glaucoma as a result of ischemic thrombosis of central vein of retina at early stages from the moment of thrombosis occurrence. Photosensitiser (PS) of chlorine range is administered to a patient intravenously drop-by-drop for 10 minutes in dose of 0.8 mg/kg of weight, in 10 minutes on completion of PS introduction, retina is radiated with laser radiation in a transpupillary manner with length of wave corresponding to maximum of absorption of light radiation with chlorine PS, with energy density of 40-50 J/cm2. Radiation is carried out concentrically, from zone of vascular arcades to extreme periphery, in fields of 4 mm diametre, with coverage of neighbouring fields by 5% of area.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to provide for prevention of development of neovascularisation of front section of eye and subsequent decompensation of intraocular pressure.
