FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of medicine and ophthalmology. It may be used for hemophthalmia and retinal detachment prevention if a retinal vessel is present in the retinal tear flap area. A photosensitizer (FS) of chlorine series in the amount of 0.8-1.0 mg/kg shall be dropped by infusion for 10 minutes. Transpupillary laser exposure of the tear flap area with retinal vessel is performed immediately after FS as one laser exposure spot, its wavelength and light dose being 75-80 J/cmІ compliant with the FS maximum light absorption maximum.
EFFECT: method provides for measured laser action on the retina in the tear flap area with dense choreoretinal lesion formation around it, photo-induced thrombosis of the retinal vessel, without damaging the intact retinal structures, retinal detachment and hemophthalmia prevention in the remote postoperative period.
