SUBSTANCE: method of sending pre-notification to mobile station includes a network receiving pre-notification information from a broadcast/multicast service, where the said information at least partially identifies the transfer service of multimedia information broadcast/multicast service to be notified on, and transmitting the pre-notification information from the network to at least one mobile station, where the pre-notification information includes at least a portion of a time domain identifier of the mobile group used by the at least one mobile station to determine whether to read additional messages.
EFFECT: low power consumption in standby mode for mobile stations which are connected to a multimedia broadcast/multicast service session and are expecting the beginning of the session, and for mobile stations for which the session is inactive.
