FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in using cutting tool, in polarisation of cutting area and in electro-chemical activation of solution of lubricant-cooling agent (LCA). As a cutting tool there is used a working electrode in form of a copper rod fed with direct electric current via a brush assembly; by means of an auxiliary electrode introduced into a jet of LCA there is performed cathode polarisation of the cutting area. Electro-chemical processes influence surface strength of a treated item.
EFFECT: raised efficiency of treatment.
