FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metalworking and can be used to measure the temperature and power parameters of the cutting process during drilling. The method includes electrically isolated fixing of a metal workpiece in the chuck of a lathe and processing the workpiece by means of a drill electrically isolated from the machine, fixed on a rack mounted on the support of the machine, during which thermo-EMF is measured using a millivoltmeter connected by appropriate electrical wires placed in an ice container to the drill and to a current collector electrically connected to the workpiece. At the same time, the attachment elements of the drill together with it are installed in the housing using bearings with the possibility of rotation and are equipped with a lever connected to a holder located in an electronic dynamometer, with the ability to measure the torque during processing.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to expand the technological capabilities of the method.
