FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device is designed for refrigeration of thermo-plastic pipe at output from extruder passing through calibrator and one or several cooling baths. Also, the device is coupled coaxially with a circular-shaped slit of the extruder. The device consists of a cylinder connecting part and of a guiding sleeve adapted to internal size of the thermo-plastic pipe and closed opposite to the extruder. Multitude of elements is arranged around a circle inside a cylinder side wall of the guiding sleeve to direct a jet of gaseous coolant mainly along tangent to internal surface of the thermoplastic pipe. Further, the device consists of a cylinder protecting tube forming a circular shaped flow channel along internal surface of the thermoplastic pipe and of a central return channel ended in the guiding sleeve to facilitate flowing through circular-shaped channel part of coolant returning to the above said elements under influence of a suction effect of coolant flows; this part is repeatedly directed to the internal side of the thermoplastic pipe. Notably, air corresponds to the coolant. In the return channel there is positioned a refrigerating equipment consisting of at least one heat exchanger installed in a central frame projecting from the connecting part and the guiding sleeve. Additionally, each element for directing cooling air flow rotates on its own telescopic shaft projecting in essence in a radial direction from the central frame of the refrigerating device, thus ensuring radial displacement and turn of each element around its telescopic shaft.
EFFECT: fast and uniform pipe cooling and increased rate of extrusion without deterioration of pipe quality.
