FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing drinking water involves mixing initial artesian water with distillate in a defined ratio, where to obtain water with overall mineral content of 80-120 mg/l, the initial water used is natural drinking water of the hydrocarbonate-calcium-sulphate group having overall mineral content of up to 535 mg/l. Distillate obtained from the initial water and purified through reserve osmosis is used for mixing. The amount of mineralising initial water used for mixing is defined using the formula: Vin=Σ(st):Σ(in.w)·V(o.w), where Σ(st) is content of elements of standard water, which determine that the water belongs to the hydrocarbonate-calcium-sulphate group, mg/l, for water from Lake Baikal Σ(st) = 86.9 mg/l; Σ(in.w)·is content of elements of the initial water, which determine that the water from an artesian well belongs to the hydrocarbonate-calcium-sulphate group, mg/l; V(o.w) is volume of water obtained after mineralisation of the distillate, l.
EFFECT: high quality of initial natural water and obtaining drinking water with physiologically sound chemical composition.
