FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to surface hardening of metal articles using inorganic powders and can be used for increasing service life of articles in any industry. Proposed method comprises applying doping powder on the surface of circular explosive charge tape and arranging said charge around processed article at distance R that varies from 0 to 0.414R1, where R1 is article radius. Then, article is subjected to high-rate jets of doping powder brought about by charge explosion. Note here that binder is additionally applied on the charge side surface. Said binder represents copolymer dissolved in light hydrocarbon fraction and contains 4 to 9 carbon atoms. Note also that bursting high-rate jets out is performed to complete polymerisation of copolymer.
EFFECT: higher doping capacity, and wear resistance, and longer life.
