FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of hardened materials microalloyed by flow of disperse powder particles. Method for explosive hardening metal workpiece treatment with particles with theoretical strength in ultra-deep penetration mode includes using explosive accelerator using energy-saturated materials, which provides creation of blast wave for acceleration and shock-wave throwing of flow of powder discrete particles with particle size of up to 100 mcm, at pressure of collision of particles of 10-15 GPa, flow density of 1 g/cm3 and speed of propellant particles of 1-3 km/s, wherein said particles represent particles of monocrystals with theoretical strength that allow super deep strengthening bulk micro-alloying of workpiece metal with an additional effect of strengthening cold work hardening of the upper layers of the workpiece metal with a change in its crystalline structure and microstructure.
EFFECT: improving strength characteristics of metal workpiece; forming new structural elements in volume of material workpiece at much greater depth of penetration.
