FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of construction, in particular to device to remove icicles from building roof cornice. Device includes breaking unit and mechanism of breaking unit heating and fixation. Elastic strip is fixed to roof cornice on top or bottom as overlapping, parallel to its edge and protruding outside. Breaking unit represents a half-spherical flapping bimetal membrane. Mechanism of heating and fixation of membrane is arranged in the form of low metal sleeve. Membrane with active layer facing towards outside of sleeve is pressed along external contour with the help of threaded bush. Disk thermal power heater in insulating body is installed on the bottom of sleeve near membrane. The upper part of sleeve is fixed at the bottom to protruding part of strip with provision of controlled impact contact of the latter with surface of flapping membrane.
EFFECT: reduction of power inputs, increased efficiency of device and expansion of its functional capabilities.
