SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in preparation of raw materials in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy, building and chemical sectors of industry, in agriculture, but mainly for drying (drainage) of fine coal, for example, before loading it into coking plants. Method of drying involves loading material into the dryer, blowing with a coolant at stirring, and transportation in the direction of discharge. Its difference is that the blowing of material is carried out along the whole length of the dryer housing across the movement of material in suspended-mixing and mobile-partitioned layers, arranged in the dryer housing by thread feeder and a gas distribution grid underneath.

EFFECT: provision of intensifying and improving the reliability of the drying process of low-free-flowing materials at the possibility of using junk low-grade heat.
