FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves formation of two optical channels for transmitting optical radiation received from the object and converting it to two electron beams. The first electron beam is converted to optical radiation in the blue spectral range and the second to optical radiation in the red spectral range. The binocular device for realising said method has apparatus for collecting, focusing, converting and amplifying optical radiation from the object, directing the converted radiation from the object to photoreceptors of the eyes of an observer. The apparatus used for converting and amplifying optical radiation from the object are electro-optical converters. The first forms an image in the blue spectral range directed to the first eye of the observer. The second forms an image in the red spectral range directed to the second eye of the observer.
EFFECT: high contrast of image detail.
