FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method is realised by a binocular device, having means of collecting and focusing optical radiation in two optical channels, said radiation being generated by an object in the visible and/or invisible spectrum; means of converting optical radiation to two electron streams, amplifying and converting the electron streams to optical radiation in form of electro-optical converters (EOC); means of guiding optical radiation onto photoreceptors of the eyes of the viewer. The first EOC forms an image directed towards the first eye of the viewer in the region of blue spectral luminescence, and the second EOC forms an image directed towards the second eye of the viewer in the region of red spectral luminescence. The value of spectral sensitivity at wavelength 0.8 mcm of the first EOC is not more than 0.1 times the value of spectral sensitivity at wavelength 0.8 mcm of the second EOC. The first EOC has a cathodoluminescent screen with a mixture of luminophores K-71 and R31 with average grain size of the mixture of not more than 3.0 mcm. The second EOC has a cathodoluminescent screen with luminophore P45REDENP with average grain size not more than 4.8 mcm.
EFFECT: longer range of viewing objects owing to improved technical characteristics of the viewing device.
