FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to delivering new services via electronic mass media to subscribers wishing not receive unwanted information transmitted over communication networks, including shared networks. Additional functions are added at the transmitting side for marking different types of information, which enables subscribers to avoid unwanted information. The apparatus which realises this method is characterised by that on the transmitting side there is an indexing unit (restrictive marking) and on the receiving side there is ether a unit which determines the boundaries of the transmitted unwanted information and destroys said information, or a unit which prohibits reproduction of the received unwanted information.
EFFECT: cutting on memory size of data carriers when storing recorded television programs.
