FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in that at least two working cylinders accommodate one piston each to make working chamber in each cylinder. Pistons are articulated with common kinematic module articulated by one adding link with output shaft. Two-stroke operation is conducted in each working chamber at equal interval between said strokes and with opposed directions of gas flow flows acting on piston bottom and those of inertial forces from reciprocating masses in each dead center. Maximum gas flow force and inertial force in each mode are determined to prohibit difference in said forced from exceeding preset load at bearing that takes up the load from kinematic module.
EFFECT: higher power-to-volume ratio, acceptable service life.
