FIELD: radio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device for remote probing of the earth's surface relates to radio engineering, namely to systems using reflection or secondary radiation of radio waves, and can be used in remote sensing systems with obtaining highly detailed images of the earth's surface. Device comprises a grouping of master and slave satellites and a center for processing radar images with receivers of a satellite radio navigation system installed on them, where each satellite has a receiving-transmitting device, equipment compartment with sensors, radar system, on-board computer system, two orientation drives and two turning modules of the beam pattern of the antenna of the radar system. Novelty is that on the master satellite there is a radio navigation system differential-mode control and correcting station, a correction data receiver is installed on the slave satellite, which input is connected via radio line to control-correcting station of master satellite, output of correcting data receiver is connected to receiver of satellite radio navigation system of slave satellite, and between inputs of satellite orientation actuators and corresponding outputs of onboard computer system there are elements with insensitivity zone, the value of which is proportional to linear section of beam pattern of antenna beam of radar system of master satellite.
EFFECT: such solution increases accuracy of constructing relief maps and simplifies the design.
