SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel compound - N-{3,5-dioxo-4-azatetracyclo[5.3.2.02,6.08,10]dodec-11-en-4-yl}-2-hydroxybenzamide of formula I: . H2O, which exhibits antiviral activity towards orthopoxviruses, which are pathogenic for humans and animals. The method of producing the said compound is described.
EFFECT: high antiviral activity.
