FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to irradiation of fluids and may be used, for example, for their decontamination, variation of their chemical composition or physical parametres. Fluid flow to be irradiated is created in the form of paraboloid by rotating fluid about axis aligned with axis of symmetry of irradiator photometric body. Irradiation dose is governed by time interval during which fluid stays in radiation zone. Irradiated fluid is withdrawn from irradiation zone by centrifugal forces generated in fluid rotation to force it out from irradiation zone.
EFFECT: power savings due to reduced losses of radiation fluxes.
