FIELD: agroindustrial production, artificial irradiation of agricultural products. SUBSTANCE: flow of material to be irradiated is formed, irradiators are arranged according to spatial configuration of material flow, irradiation dose is established as function of material residence time within irradiation zone, followed by removing irradiated absorbing medium. Latter is removed from irradiation zone by successively withdrawn layers parallel to surface being irradiated, frequency of layers thus- withdrawn being determined by formula: wherein f is frequency of layer withdrawal from irradiation zone, Φ is flux incident onto irradiated surface and absorbed by volume of material to be irradiated, QH is radiation energy to be transmitted to later (i.e. layer irradiation dose).
