FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bulletproof structures. The layered structure comprises at least a first glass plate (1), a second glass plate (3) joined to the first by an adhesive layer (2). The edge of the second glass plate (3) forms a projection on one side of the edge of the first glass plate (1). A third glass plate (5) is joined to the second glass plate (3) by an adhesive layer (4). The edge of the second glass plate (3) forms a projection relative the edge of the third glass plate (5). The third plate is joined by an adhesive layer to a plate (11) which dampens the impact of the bullet. An armouring insert (20) lies in the cavity bounded by edges of the first and third glass plates (1, 5) and the edge of the second glass plate (3). The third glass plate (5) forms a projection relative the edge of the dampening plate (11). Material (30, 31) which can absorb the energy of the bullet is placed in the space between the armouring insert (20), the edge of the third glass plate (5) and the edge of the plate (11).
EFFECT: protection of a user from shots fired near the inner edge of the peripheral armouring insert.
