FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a component of low-temperature ballistic powder of γ-polyoxymethylene. The method of producing γ-polyoxymethylene involves polymerisation of trioxane in a medium of tetrachloromethane in the presence of methanol and oleum, as well as stearic acid in amount of 1.5-1.8% of the weight of trioxane, used as an additional component. The polymerisation process is carried out at temperature 50…65°C in 3-4 hours.
EFFECT: low duration of synthesis, as well as labour and power consumption of the process of producing γ-polyoxymethylene.
