FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing finely dispersed dimethyl ether of polyoxymethylene glycol - a component of low-temperature ballistit powder. The method of producing finely dispersed dimethyl ether of polyoxymethylene glycol is realised by polymerisation of trioxane in tetrachloromethane medium in the presence of telogen - methylal and a catalyst - ethylate of boron trifluoride and a surfactant in form of stearic acid (1.0-1.5% of the mass of trioxane), in a reactor which is equipped with a mixing device with a blade mixer at rotational speed of 800 rpm, followed by alkaline stabilisation.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain finely dispersed dimethyl ether of polyoxymethylene glycol with weight-average particle size of less than 15 mcm, increases output and simplifies the process by reducing its fire risk.
