FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: rotary engine includes housing with cavity and rotor fixed on shaft coaxially to symmetry axis of cavity and shaft rotation axis. Cavity of the housing is closed with cover with two inlet openings, which is fixed on one side of the housing, and with other cover with two outlet openings, which is fixed on the other side of the housing. Between cover with inlet openings and rotor there installed is distributing disc with two openings, which is borne against them, and having the possibility of synchronous rotation with rotor. Housing with cylindrical cavity has two radial opposite located channels in which there arranged are slides with possibility of back-and-forth movement. Slide are borne on one side against the cover, and on the other side against the distributing disc, supported by the rotor surface and divide the cavity at their tending to the shaft axis into two equal semi-cavities. Rotor of ellipse-shaped cross section is formed of two cylindrical surfaces with diametre which is larger than the diametre of cavity and of two cylindrical surfaces with diametre equal to diametre of cavity. Rotor comes into contact with cavity surface by means of cylindrical surfaces of smaller radius and divides each semi-cavity into two chambers with volumes changing at rotor rotation. Openings in covers and distributing disc are diametrically opposite located and equally spaced from the rotation axis.
