FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: collimator has a housing inside of which there is a light source, a scattering element, a test object, a lens and a light-splitting unit, all lying on one optical axis. The light source is made from discrete elementary emitters. The emitting surfaces of the emitters are made diffusion-scattering. The distance between the emitting surfaces of the emitters and the test object is defined by the expression where l is the distance between the surface of the emitter and the plane of the test object, I is the luminous intensity of the elementary radiation source, E is the illuminance of the light background in the plane of the test object and a is a uniformity coefficient. The lens is designed for a narrow spectral range. The light-splitting unit is configured to split the image of the test object constructed by the lens into two geometrically and energy identical images. The light source, lens, light-splitting unit and photodetectors of the television system are optically interfaced with each other at radiation wavelength which corresponds to viewing wavelength.

EFFECT: design of a collimator which is reliable during operation, is easy to manufacture, assemble and tune.
