FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: plant for cooling of high-voltage converter consists of the main closed circuit (9) with facility (10) of injection to inject cooling liquid to power semiconductor instruments and heat exchanger (11), in which temperature of cooling liquid is reduced before it is again supplied for cooling of power semiconductor instruments. Additional circuit (12) is connected to the main circuit. This additional circuit has cooling device (13), containing reservoir with cooling medium and providing for cooling of this medium down to temperature, being substantially lower than temperature of cooling liquid in the main circuit after its passage through heat exchanger. Control unit (17) diverts at least some of specified cooling liquid into additional circuit (12), when necessity occurs in additional cooling of specified power semiconductor instruments.
EFFECT: reduced cost of equipment with provision of efficient cooling of high-voltage equipment in cases of short-term overload and in transfer of power exceeding rate value.
